Alex Andrew Virok III

Alex Andrew Virok III, 76, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Alex was born in Trenton, New Jersey, on June 30th, 1948 to his parents Alex Andrew II and Magdalen (Mrazik) Virok. After graduating high school, Alex attended the University of Dayton where he met the love of is life Rosie (Mechley) Virok and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. After college Alex and Rosie began a family together and he pursued a lifelong career in plastic (automotive) injection molding. Alex enjoyed bringing flowers to Rosie and sharing their Spring vacations in Florida. His interests included fishing, making family breakfasts, helping his wife with her crafting escapades, and spending time with his grandchildren

After his retirement Alex enjoyed following the stock market and CNBC, watching “Wheel of Fortune” nightly, cheering for Notre Dame and Wabash College football teams. Alex also appreciated the opportunity to exchange witty banter with family and friends while catching up over the phone.

Alex was preceded in death by his parents and his younger sister, Ellen Stillitano. He is survived by his wife Rosie of 54 years, his children Nikki (John) Luellen, Andrea (Ben) Johnson and Justin Virok, as well as his grandchildren Carter, Carac, Avery, Declan and Beckett. Additionally, he is survived by his four younger sisters Kathy (John) Siracusa, Kristine Johnson, Marianne (Patrick) Kent and Janet (Dan) Martenak, his aunt Edith Mrazik and many cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held in Alex’s honor on July 11th 2025 at 11:00 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 625 Frame Road in Newburgh, IN. Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until the time of service.
