Ann Holtz 93 of Evansville, IN passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2020. She was born July 28, 1927, in Gibson County, IN. The daughter of Rosetta and Sylvester Schwiersch. She was a graduate of Mackey High School; Tri-State Beauty College and she also held a Real Estate License. She was an instructor of Beauty Culture at Tri-State Beauty College for 20 years then later retiring from Lazarus after 15 years of service.

Ann was a member of Lynnville Order of Eastern Star #396, Elberfeld American Legion Auxiliary where she was the last living charter member, V.F.W. Auxiliary of Evansville #1114, Hadi Shrine Honored Ladies, and S.W.I.R.C.A.

Ann enjoyed traveling with her husband, Alton; they had traveled to all 50 states, and to Canada to fish. Her most cherished trip was to the Holy Land. She enjoyed attending exercise classes at S.W.I.R.C.A. where she had won multiple gold medals in their senior Olympic games. She loved her dogs and attending any sporting event that Kyler and Brylee were a part of.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 43 years, Alton Holtz, two brothers, Elmer and Harold Schwiersch, two nephews, Larry Schwiersch and Michael Schwiersch.

Ann is survived by Nieces, Brenda (Duane) Erwin and Donna (Hubert) Kruse of Elberfeld and Larry's wife Andrea Schwiersch.  Great nieces, Nicole (Lonnie) Ziliak, Amie (Michael) Hulfachor, Steffney Kruse, Lauren (Jordan) Weil, Alicia (Jacob) Ziliak. Great –great nieces and nephews, Kyler Duncan, Kendall Hulfachor, Brylee Ziliak, Kyra Champa, AJ Hulfachor, Alex Hulfachor, Kirsten Hulfachor, Kynadi Webster, Jackson Weil, Charles Ziliak, and Madalyn Weil. 

Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Volkman Chapel 2nd Elm Street Elberfeld, IN.  Burial will follow in North view Cemetery.  A public visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. On Tuesday, October 6 and from 10:00 a.m. till service time.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hadi Shrine Transportation Fund or the Hadi Shrine.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses of River Pointe Health Campus and Heart to Heart Hospice for their compassionate care, support, friendship, and for loving her during the pandemic when we couldn’t be there.
