Arthur “David” Blondin, 79, of Winslow, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on August 1, 2025.
He was born on April 23, 1946, to Edward J. and Martha E. Blondin. David proudly served his country as a combat Marine in the Vietnam War and later worked for Southern Railway before opening his own upholstery shop.
David was known for his generous spirit, deep compassion, and infectious sense of humor. He was a faithful man of the Catholic faith, a devoted brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy and peace in nature—especially duck, turkey, and deer hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Edward, Richard, and Lawrence Blondin; his sister Sharon Golden; and infant sister, Marie Blondin.
David is survived by his brother, Roger A. Blondin of Carmel, Indiana; sisters, Mary C. Knight (David) of Newburgh, Indiana, Julie A. Beery, and Caroline J. Phillips, both of Evansville, Indiana. He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins who adored him.
David will be laid to rest with honor at Arlington National Cemetery.
David’s memory will live on through the stories, laughter, and love he shared with those around him. He will be dearly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in David’s honor at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph All Saints Catholic Parish, 600 E. Virginia St, Evansville, IN 47711, on Friday, August 8, 2025, with visitation one hour prior to the Mass. Full military honors will be held after the Funeral Mass. A Visitation will take place on Thursday, August 7, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Titzer Family Funeral Homes Meyer Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St, Evansville, IN 47711.
