Bettie Pearl Abney 93, of Newburgh IN., passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Newburgh Healthcare.

She was born January 19, 1929 in Ewing IL., to the late Willard & Olga (Cockrum) Threlkeld.

Bettie is survived by her 3 sons, Rodney Abney (Reda), David Abney (Kathy), Jeffrey Abney (fiancé-Karen), brother, James Threlkeld and 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 3 great- great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Bennie Threlkeld, husband, Robert J. “Bob” Abney, and daughter in law, Betty.

A private service and burial was held in Parklawn Cemetery, Evansville IN.

In memory of the Abney’s memorial contributions may be made to the Newburgh Senior Center, 529 Jefferson St., Newburgh IN.
