Beverly Ann Titzer

Beverly Ann Titzer, age 80, of Newburgh, Indiana passed away in the early morning of July 13, 2022.  Beverly was born in Evansville Indiana on October 19, 1941 to the late Thomas and Rose Marie (Drexler) Gough.  Beverly attended St. Benedict Grade School and graduated from Reitz Memorial High School in 1959.  She later attended the University of Evansville and the University of Southern Indiana.  Beverly was a certified Professional Secretary and a Kentucky Colonel.  She retired from Peabody Holding Company as Administrative Assistant and Executive Secretary after 23 years.   She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Newburgh, Indiana. 

Beverly was a Florida Snow Bird for 10 years.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching sports, boating on the Ohio River and bird watching (especially eagles and her back yard purple martins). But her favorite activity was the time she enjoyed in laughter with her family and friends. 

Beverly married the love of her life, John Stephen Titzer in 1979.  They shared their life with their five children, Patrick W. Retter of Folsomville, Indiana, Cynthia A. Shoulders (Stephen), Pamela M. Block (Randall) both of Newburgh, Indiana, Greg E. Titzer (Holly) of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Julie A. Miller (Chad) of Summerset, Michigan.  Beverly is also survived by her two brothers Thomas S. Gough, Jr. (Judy) and Lt. Col. Michael Gough (Karen), her ten grandchildren Derrick Retter, S. Chad Shoulders, Ashley Retter, Abbi Shoulders-Killebrew, Samantha Ostendorf, Alexander Block, Benjamin Block, Yvonne Titzer, Hudson Ripke, and Harper Ripke, six great grandchildren, siblings in law, Mike (Pat) Titzer, Mark (Sunny) Titzer, Emile (Dave) Utterback, Diane (Sepp) Schwarzl, Linda Titzer, Bonnie Titzer, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Beverly was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Gough and daughter-in-law, Marianne Retter, siblings in law, Tom, Jim, and Don (Bonnie) Titzer.   

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am., Monday, July 18, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd., Newburgh, IN. 47630, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 am. until mass time at the church.  Additional visitation will be on Sunday, July 17, 2022 from 3 to 7 pm. with a prayer service at 7 pm. at the Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh IN. 47630, (812) 853-8314.

Beverly will be sadly missed by all who knew her. We Love You Forever.
