Carl Joseph Titzer

Carl J. Titzer, aka: Quick Carl, Dapaw, Baldilocks, Uncle Love, and Pap, age 57 of Boonville, IN, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2019.  He was born on September 8, 1962 to the late Robert E. and Hilda R. (Kaiser) Titzer.  Carl worked at AEP for 31 years.

Carl was a hard-working family man; he never knew a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone.  He enjoyed Nascar, tractor pulls, camping and barn feeds.  He looked forward to annual trips to West Virginia and Deer Camp.  However, what he enjoyed most was spending time in his barn with his second love “Ingrid”.  Carl loved the song “Humble and Kind” and instilled in his grandchildren to live by his motto.  Carl will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.

Carl is survived by the love of his life for 31 years, Mary Jo; two daughters, Emilee Groenert (Chris), Ashlee Titzer (Rodney), and one son and best friend, Michael Titzer; five grandchildren, Mason “Wildman”, Grayson “Skin and Bones”, Weston “Wesley”, Kayden “Meat Head”, and Karter “Red Headed Step Child”; brothers, Chuck (Gwen), Chris (Cathy), and sister, Monica Hurt (Rock); many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.  He was preceded in death by his sister, Connie Sue.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 8 p.m., Wednesday, November 20, 2019 with visitation beginning at 2 p.m., at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St. Newburgh, IN (812) 853-8314.  Burial will be at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville.  Sympathy wishes may be expressed at titzerfuneralhomes.com.
