Carol Jean (Brown) Betz, 72, of Evansville, IN passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Ascension St. Vincent Evansville Hospital. She was born in Evansville on July 29, 1950 to the late Jim and Minnie (Humphrey) Brown.                         

Carol graduated from Castle High School and worked at St. Mary's Hospital as a sterile processor for 38 years. She was an avid churchgoer and attended Church of The Cross for many years.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Greg Betz, parents; and brother, Steven Brown.

Carol is survived by her sister- in -law, Greta L. Simpson (Jon); brother-in- law, Graden E. Betz (Joan); nieces; Racheal Aldridge (Kerry), Melanie Brown, nephews, Grant Betz (Becky), Justin Betz (Lauren), Matt Smith(Jessie);great-nieces and great-nephews, Hale Betz, Gage Smith, Knox Smith, Isabella Betz, Cody Betz, and Hailey Betz.

A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February, 6, 2023 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Miller and Miller Colonial Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St. Evansville, in 47711 (812) 424-9274, officiated by Rev. Father Theodore Tempel. Additional visitation will be held Monday, 12:00 p.m./noon until time of service. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Boonville, IN.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the funeral home.
