Carolyn "Jeanette" Schmidt Williams, 78, of Newburgh, Ind., passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2015. She was born in Newburgh, January 21, 1937 to Joseph and Ruth Schmidt. Jeanette was employed by Ridgeway Eye Care, the Warrick County School Corp. Cafeteria, and the Homestead Restaurant of Newburgh. She owned and operated Williams Transport family business in Newburgh. Jeanette also held a voting post at her residence for many years. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Jeanette enjoyed her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved playing cards with friends, bowling, camping, and her love for her many dogs, including Max, Peanut and Cashew. She was preceded in death by her parents; her late husband, Victor McKenzie Williams; her granddaughter, Nichole Whitney Williams; and two sisters, Ruth Schmidt Baughn, Doris Schmidt Carrell. Jeanette is survived by her five children, Trudy and Leo Miller, Brent and Madonna Williams, Duane Williams and Lisa Forler, Lee and Pattie Williams, Lona and Bill Mangold; grandchildren, Carolyn (Miller) and Nate Whyte, Tim and Kaci Miller, Kelley and Katie Miller, Christopher Williams, Michael and Michele Williams, Emily (Mangold) and Travis Goodman, Jamie Mangold, Savannah (Williams) and Andrew Snyder, Brent Williams, Jr., Kendra Mangold; great-grandchildren, Rhett and Ruby Miller, Logan, William, Luke, Wesley Whyte, Lily, Kinley, Riley Miller, Jalynn and Micha Snyder Williams, Miles and Mackenzie Goodman, Camdyn Snyder, Brooklyn Williams, Kylie Hall; sister, Jolene Patterson; and brother, Gene Schmidt. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Monday, August 10, 2015, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd., Newburgh, Ind. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2 to 8 p.m., Sunday, with a memorial service at 7 p.m., at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, Ind., (812) 853-8314.
