Catherine Ray Kirkwood

Catherine Kirkwood, age 97, of Evansville, IN entered eternal life on Wednesday, February 3, 2021. She was born May 26, 1923 in La Center, KY to the late Marvin V. and LouVena (Peck) Stephens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ashley Howard Kirkwood, sister, Arie "Marie" Rhew, and brother, Wilferd Stephens.  She is survived by her son, Ronald E. (Cindy) Kirkwood, granddaughter, Lacey Sha­­­`e Kirkwood and several other family members and cousins. Lifelong friends King and Marti Zorzi and family.

Catherine was a member of Northwest Church of Christ and a member of the PTA Cynthiana grade school. She was a loving and caring mother and friend to many and will be missed. Catherine enjoyed her flowers and spending time in the garden.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 8, 2021 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes- Meyer Chapel 100 E. Columbia St. Evansville, IN 47711 and burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Evansville, IN.  A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

In accordance with the Indiana COVID-19 precautions, all attending are required to wear a mask and follow proper social distancing protocol, capacity is limited to 50 at a time for visitation. If you are not feeling well, or if you have compromised immune system, you are encouraged to stay home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Northwest Church of Christ and/or Christian Motorcyclist Association.
