Charles Gilbert "Charlie" Barton 77, of Newburgh IN., passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024. He was born June 5, 1946 in Newburgh IN. to the late, Fred & Ruby (Price) Barton.
He attended Castle High School. Charlie retired after some 40 years at Inland Container in Evansville and also had worked at Kight Lumber. He was an avid weight lifter and enjoyed Judo. Charlie loved riding his Harley and customizing vans back in the day. He also was known to like an occasional beer, and also, Rings and Jewelry.
Charlie is survived by 3 children, son, Chuck W. Barton, daughter, Shelly Willis (Jerry), son, Scott Barton (Jennifer), siblings; Ronnie, Connie, Barbara, Wanda, Glenda, five grandkids; Michael, Savannah, Alisha, Ethan, and Logan, three great grandkids; Brooklyn, Camdyn, and Wayde, and caregiver, Margena Hughes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Doris, Faye, and Albert.
A visitation will be held from 4PM. to 6 PM. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at the Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, IN 47630 (812) 853-8314.
