Charles "Charlie" F. Hayes

Charlie F. Hayes, 85, of Newburgh, Indiana passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023. He was born on August 20, 1937 in Evansville to the late Ellis and Mary Ann (Limberger) Hayes.

He was a graduate of Central High School. Charlie served in the United States Navy Reserves and was a member of the Hadi Shrine. Charlie was a motorcycle enthusiast, loved watching NASCAR, gardening, and spending time with his family. 

Charlie is survived by his lifelong companion, Rita C. (Miller) Hayes, daughter, Elizabeth Lacer (Rick), and son, Anthony W. Hayes (Kelly).

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Debbie Hayes, and grandfather, Charles Limberger.

A private graveside service and burial was held at Parklawn Cemetery in Evansville.

In lieu of flowers at the family request donations may be made to the Hadi Shrine Hospital 2900 Rocky Point Drive Tampa, FL.
