Charles “Fred” Beaven, 83, of Newburgh, IN passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, at Heart to Heart Hospice. He was born on October 31, 1939, in Evansville to the late Fred and Nellie (Beach) Beaven.
Fred retired after 45 years with CXS Railroad. He was a locomotive engineer for 30 of those years. He and his wife, Donna, of 61 years, enjoyed traveling and getting together with family and friends. Fred was a long-time member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and in later years at St. John the Baptist Church in Newburgh. He volunteered at the Evansville Christian Life Center and Mother Teresa Treasures in Newburgh. He wished for his body to be donated to science.
He is survived by: Wife Donna (Hirsch) Beaven, sister Nancy Russell, Children: Theresa VanBibber (Curt) of Newburgh, Andy Beaven (Susan) of Collierville TN, Becky Walker (Gary) of Carmel, IN, Tom Beaven (Amy) of South Bend, IN. Grandchildren: Josh VanBibber, Amanda Patten, Thomas VanBibber,
Grant Beaven, Jessi Beaven, Sarah Sampson, Anna Walker, Sam Walker,
Ben Beaven, Jon Beaven, and Greatgrandchildren: Joel VanBibber, Vayda VanBibber
Preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Nellie Beaven, sisters: Dorothy Daniel, Marion Deutsch, Carolyn Lawson, Mary Sue Meyer.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 17, 2022, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church 725 Frame Rd. Newburgh, IN 47630 with visitation beginning 10:00 a.m. to Mass time.
A Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2022, at the Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, IN
