Clifton Avon Garrett

Clifton Avon Garrett, 91, of Newburgh, Indiana passed away at Heart to Heart Hospice House in Evansville, Indiana on Sunday, August 10th, 2025.

Cliff worked at Whirlpool for 45 years. He was an Army Veteran of the 3rd Infantry Division, and a member of Townsend Bible Church.

Cliff was preceded in death by his brothers Anthony Garrett, Randall Garrett and Raymond Gerald Garrett; and his sisters, Portia Garrett and Voris Brakmeier.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Betty; children, Kenny Garrett (Brenda), Jack Garrett and Debbie Garrett; grandchildren Jayme Garrett, Corey Garett (Kaytee), Jason Garrett, Amanda Patterson (Kyle), Nicholas Barber and Ryan Barber; and great-grandchildren Cody Garrett, Alexis Garrett, Huxley Garrett, Olivia Garrett, Dominic Garrett, Bentley King, Judah Patterson and Isaiah Patterson.

A Funeral Service, with full military honors, will be held on Thursday, August 14th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Titzer Family Funeral Homes Simpson Chapel 510 W Jennings Street Newburgh IN. A Visitation will be held in Cliff’s honor on Wednesday, August 13th, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., also at Titzer’s Simpson Chapel.

Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Newburgh, IN immediately following the Funeral Service on Thursday.
