David Barclay Rager, 73, of Evansville, Ind., passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at home. He was born July 29, 1940, in Todd County, KY, to Harold and Clara (Shelton) Rager. David was a retired businessman. "He said what he meant. And he meant what he said." He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bill Rager. David is survived by his wife, Ruth (Turpen) Rager; children, Kirk Rager (Jill), Nancy Claspbell (John) , Kelee Martin (Dean), Bart Rager; grandchildren, Piper Bay and Hayden, Scott and Samatha, Shelby and Preston; great-grandchildren, Avery and Sage; step-daughters, Michelle Daugherty and Stacey Wahl (Mark). Per David's request there will be no visitation or services. Entombment at St. Joe Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Mark Browning and Deaconess Hospice. Arrangements in the care of Titzer Family Funeral Home, Meyer Chapel, (812) 424-9288. Memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderburgh Humane Society.
