Don Edward Roberts

Don Edward Roberts, 70, of Evansville, Ind., passed away, Friday, September 29, 2017, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital.  He was born August 25, 1947, in Evansville to the late Clenneth and Leola (Halwes) Roberts of Elberfeld, IN.  He was confirmed at Zion United Church of Christ at Elberfeld and graduated with the last class of Elberfeld High School in 1965.

He was a Vietnam Navy Veteran serving aboard the USS Hornet aircraft carrier.  He graduated from the then Indiana State University-Evansville and spent most of his adult life working in the Aurora, IL area.  He was manager at several locations of J.C. Licht, LLC.

Don is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cynthia (Fox) Roberts; son, Stephen Michael Roberts (Karen) of Aurora, IL; and grandson, Christopher Hammer.  Also, sister, Jo Ann Harris (Joe), nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Celebration of Don's Life will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Volkman Chapel, 200 Elm St., Elberfeld, IN, (812) 983-4211, officiated by Rev. Brenda Wick.
