It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna Faye Lerche who left us on September 8, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. She was 83 years old. Donna Faye Lerche was born on July 10, 1940, to Gresham and Lavon Shoultz in Newburgh, IN. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, aunt, parent, grandparent, great grandparent, and a dear friend to many. She touched the lives of those around her with her warmth, kindness, her smile, and unwavering love.

Donna's life was marked by her passion for family, family girl parties and her commitment to Epworth Community Church. She enjoyed painting, sewing, crocheting, knitting, cooking, ice skating and traveling.  Donna lived in CA, FL, IL and AK (15 years). She attended Newburgh High School where she participated in the Majorettes, played the accordion and piano.  She had impeccable work ethic working various jobs serving the community. 

Donna Faye Lerche is survived by her spouse Sam Lerche; daughter Shellie Broshears (Brian); three siblings Sherry Garner (Ed), Greg Shoultz and Neena McCullough (Chuck); sister-in-law Rita Shoultz; grandchildren Kyle (Judy) and Cody (Heather) Broshears, Shannon (Bethany) and Dylan (Jenna) Sutton; great grandchildren Violet, Matthew, Braelyn, Briella, Baila, Aja, and Pele who will forever cherish the memories and love she shared with them. She was preceded in death by parents Gresham and Lavon Shoultz, brother Leroy Shoultz, sons Shawn and Shane Sutton and bother-in-law Fred Garner.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 13th at Epworth Community Church in Newburgh, IN from 4-7PM and where friends and family can gather to celebrate Donna Faye Lerche's life and bid a heartfelt farewell. 

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 14th at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM at the church, officiated by Pastor Danny Barr. A burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Epworth Community Church.

Donna Faye Lerche's departure leaves a void in our lives that can never be filled, but her memory will live on in our hearts forever. She will be remembered for her strength, faith and love for others.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all who have shown support and condolences during this difficult time. Your love and kindness provide solace in our grief.  We would like to add a thank you to Asceracare Hospice and a special thank you for providing exceptional care, to nurse, Tonya Shepherd.
