Doris Y. Spencer

Doris Y. Spencer, 74, of New Harmony, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.  She was born September 4, 1944 in Rosewood, KY to the late Verna Lee Young and Pauline (Dukes) Saehr. 

She worked at the Brach's Candy Company in Chicago, waitressed at F's Steak House, and worked at TJ Maxx.  Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother; and loved taking care of her home.

Doris is survived by her husband of 57 years, Frederick D. Spencer; children, Cheryl Gasper (Mark) of Pompano, FL, Amy Englert (Ronnie) of Poseyville, Frederick D. Spencer II of Carmi, IL; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Susan Lissak (George), Shirley Nelsen (Mark) both of Newburgh.
