Edna Eugene Hanks

Edna Hanks, 95, passed away, Friday, October 6, 2017, at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton. 

Edna was born to Luther and Willie Mae Burdett on November 7, 1921, in Alabama.  She married Paul Hanks in Benton, IL in 1936.  She was a member of the Elberfeld United Methodist Church.   Edna was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

She is survived by three children, Delores and Richard Doerner of Elberfeld, Wanda Hanks of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, and Ted and Bev Hanks of Herrin, IL.  Edna had 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. 

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Volkman Chapel, 2nd & Elm Streets, Elberfeld, IN, (812) 983-4211.  Pastor Bill L. Reed will officiate.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
