Edward F. “Ed” Viehman, 76, of Evansville, IN, formerly of St. Louis, MO, passed away Wednesday December 16, 2015 at his home. He was born on November 5, 1939 in St. Louis to the late Alice M. (Degnan) and Edward F. Viehman. Ed was a graduate of McBride High School Class of 1958. He was a veteran of the USMC. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. Ed retired from TWA after 35 years. He enjoyed traveling, golf, hunting, and coaching baseball and basketball. Ed is survived by his wife, Marilee A. (Eultgen) Viehman; son, Greg Viehman (Paula), daughter, Julie Hunt (David), son, Tom Viehman (Cindy), daughter, Diane Sanford (Darrell); grandchildren, Joshua and Evan Viehman, Stefanie Ankrom (Shawn), and Sawyer Hunt, Eric and Matt Viehman, Alex and Sydney Sanford; great grandchildren, Dylan and Mason Ankrom; siblings, Charles Viehman, Kathleen Shepherd. Ed was an uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren, Zachary Viehman and Caitlyn Hunt. A Mass Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2301 N. Stockwell Rd. Evansville, IN. A full military service will be held immediately following. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the church. Additional services will be held at a later date in St. Louis, MO with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
