Elizabeth Ann Augspurger passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 30, 1934, in Thorntown, Indiana, Ann was the daughter of Dr. William E. Wells and Elizabeth Scales Wells.

Ann is survived by her three children: Jan Miller (Lowell), Kay Collins (David), and Victor Augspurger (Karen); her brothers Earl Wells and John Wells; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her eldest son Greg, and her beloved husband Mark.

Ann’s love of music began early in life. She faithfully played piano and organ every Sunday at Newburgh Presbyterian Church and sang in the choir for services and weddings. Later, she joined the local chapter of Sweet Adelines, where her passion for harmony and performance flourished. Music was a lifelong source of joy and connection for her.

In her 40s, Ann returned to school and earned a degree in nursing. Her warmth and compassion as an LPN led her to specialize in geriatric care, working for several years at Newburgh Health Care Center—the same facility that lovingly cared for her in her final days.

Ann found joy in gardening, reading, animals, and traveling. She and Mark visited all but two U.S. states, with Nova Scotia holding a special place in her heart. For their 50th wedding anniversary, they fulfilled a dream with a memorable trip to Scotland.

Ann will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of kindness, music, and devotion to family lives on in the hearts of those she touched.
