Elnora Juanita Sampson, 83, passed away Friday December 6, 2013 at Columbia Health Care Center. She was born on October 25, 1930 in Evansville to the late Ivy Lee (Mayton) and William R. Russell. She graduated from Bosse High School in 1951. She worked at the Evans Café and McCurdy Residential Center. She was of the Baptist faith. She loved playing bingo, watching wrestling and walking. She enjoyed bird watching, especially Cardinals. Elnora is survived by five daughters, Linda Sue Oxford of Opdyke, IL, Barbara Jane Lohman (Jeff) of Evansville, Rebecca Ann “Becky” Robbins (Dennis) of Jamestown, NY, Sheila Rae Monroe and Ree Luck of Evansville; sister, Barbara E. Russell of Evansville; brother, Walter Russell of Evansville; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Mark Anthony Russell and David Alan Sampson; sister, Geraldine Russell; brothers, Robert and Victor Russell, James and William Morris. Special thanks to Gentiea Hospice Care and Columbia Health Care. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday December 11, 2013 with visitation starting at 12 noon at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St. Evansville, Ind.
