Ernest A. "Ernie" Schmitt

Ernest A. “Ernie” Schmitt, age 60, of Richland IN passed away unexpectantly July 18, 2024 at his home. He was born to the late Eugene Charles “Spuds” & Irma Catherine Schmitt. 

 Ernie worked for VoMac Truck Sales & Service as a parts manager. He is survived by his better half Julie, stepson Kenton (Ashley), grandsons, Henry & August, sisters, Denise, Nancy, Cathy and brother Robert (Carrie). He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Eddie.

 Although Ernie was not known for his "sunny disposition", he loved to share funny stories and sarcastic barbs. He was a caring husband/brother/friend underneath all those layers. 

 Ernie’s wishes were to be cremated and there will be no viewing or service.
