Ethel Leah (Nelson) Hamm, 93, Newburgh, Ind., passed away peacefully in her home, Friday, November 20, 2015, with her children at her bedside. She was born October 28, 1922, in Ayrshire, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd A. Hamm, who passed away, November 25, 2014. They were married for 75 years.
Floyd and Ethel have four children, Yvonne Block (Randall), Robert Hamm (Karen), Rev. Dr. Larry Hamm (Saundra), and Patricia Gillies (Don). They have 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 5 great great-grandchildren.
The family of Ethel believes the following biblical words best describes Ethel as a wife and mother. Proverb’s 31-28-29—“Her children arise and call her Blessed, her Husband also, and he praises her; many women do noble things; but you surpass them all.”
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m., with visitation beginning at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2015, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W.
