Forrest Lane Swango

Forrest Lane Swango, 93, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville. He was born on May 16, 1933, to Lloyd and Ursula (Lyons) Swango.

Forrest attended Middletown High School in Middletown, OH, Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and served in the Army during the Korean war. He owned a successful dry-cleaning business, VIP Cleaners, operating businesses across multiple states. Forrest spent most of his recent days completing jigsaw puzzles, crosswords, and spending time with his family. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Forrest is survived by his son, Steve Swango (Shelby); daughters, Rebecca Whitehead (Gary Rzepka) and Terri See (Bill); grandchildren, Lydia Swango, Katherine See, and Dallis, Savannah, and Dalton Whitehead. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Swango; his parents, and his sister, Barbara.

A celebration of life honoring Forrest will be announced at a later time. Services are in the care of Titzer Family Funeral Homes.
