Chapman, in Smiths Grove KY. As a young girl she relocated with her family to Richland WA, in the Pacific Northwest, where she received her education and found work at Camp Hanford, which is now the Hanford Nuclear Site. It is here where she met her husband of 55 years, Anthony J. (Tony) Starinieri.

Her life’s journey took her from Smith’s Grove KY, to Richland WA, to Steubenville OH, to Chicago IL, to Washington D.C., to Newburgh IN, and finally Northern VA. A dedicated wife and loving mother, who was adored by her grandchildren, Mozelle was admired for her strength and independence, kind spirit and quick wit.

A gifted artist, she quickly went from student to teacher providing instruction in oil painting to a countless number of students. A genius in the kitchen, when praised for the meal just served, Mozelle’s standard reply was “Oh, hon, there’s nothing to it”.

Mozelle is preceded in death by her husband, Tony, and is survived by her children Joe and Pam Starinieri of Chicago IL, Tim Starinieri of Herndon VA, Mike and Robin Starinieri of Tampa FL, Julie and Jeff Bass of Marshall VA, and Mary and Kevin Plunkett of Centreville VA, as well as 13 grandchildren: Samantha (Tim) Butzen, Amy (Tim) Gilbert, Kevin (Simi) Starinieri, Tony (Brittany) Starinieri, Grace Starinieri, Noah Starinieri, Jordon (Heather) Starinieri, Madison (Cody) Johnson, Josh Bass, Lindsey (Tye) Wintersteen, Megan (John) Coppage, Kyle Plunkett (deceased), Hayley Plunkett, a growing number of great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
