Gary Nell Woodard

Gary Michael Woodard, 36, of Evansville, Indiana, passed unexpectedly on November 16, 2020. 

Gary was born on May 16, 1984 in Evansville, Indiana to John David Woodard and Patricia Lynn (Benefiel) Woodard. He was a very loving and dedicated person. Gary was a wonderful son, cousin, nephew and friend who touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind all of his cousins, aunts and close friends that loved him dearly. 

Gary dedicated his life to putting others first. He was so non-judgmental and would always be there for the one's that he loved. Gary loved to cook and spend time with his family/friends. Every holiday he would make everyone else relax while he did the cooking. Gary always made sure people around him were okay and always was a shoulder to cry on. He loved cooking, drawing and hanging out with his family/friends. Gary will be deeply missed.

Gary is survived by his aunts, Renee Givens of Evansville, IN, Yvette (Bobby) Poole of Henderson, KY; cousins, Jamie (Nick) Sallee, Kristina Benefiel, Katelin Benefiel, Brittney Anderson, Brooklyn Sallee, Tyler Williams, Justin Williams, Nicholas Sallee, Anna Sallee, Chelsey Sallee, Natalia Cruz, Bianca Cruz, Christian Benefiel, John Poole, Keith Poole and many others. 

Gary was preceded in death by his father John David Woodard in 2016; mother Patricia Lynn Woodard in 2019; grandmothers, Virginia Benefiel and Bonnie Woodard; grandfather, Clifford Woodard; aunt, Yvonne Poole; and uncles John Charles Benefiel, Sr., Bobby Junior "B.J." Benefiel and Ronald Eugene Benefiel. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Donate Life Indiana in memory of Gary.
