Visitation: Visitation will be held 2 to 8 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2013, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W Jennings St, Newburgh, Ind., (812) 853-8314. There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. Additional visitation will be 10 a.m., till Mass time, Monday at the church.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m., Monday, September 23, 2013, at St. Rupert’s Catholic Church, 1244 W Red Brush Rd., Newburgh, Ind., Father Lowell Will officiating and burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Hilda R. (Kaiser) Titzer, 84, of Newburgh, Ind., passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013, at Deaconess Hospice Care Center. She was born August 25, 1929, in Newburgh, to William and Mary (Berfanger) Kaiser. Hilda lived her life in the Catholic faith. She was stronger than all of us and gave us comfort at the time of her passing. Hilda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bob Titzer; and brother, Ralph Kaiser. She is survived by her five children, Connie Titzer, Chuck Titzer (Gwen), Chris Titzer (Cathy), Carl Titzer (Mary Jo), Monica Hurt (Rock). Also surviving are her grandchildren, Jeanie Titzer, Luke Titzer, Sarah Greer (Justin), Matthew Titzer, Josh Hurt, Jamie Hurt Thompson (Aaron), Jeramy Hurt (Angela), Jake Hurt, Emilee Groenert (Chris), Ashlee Titzer, Michael Titzer; great-grandchildren, Mason Titzer, Kayden Johnson, Chloe Hurt, AJ Thompson, Caroline Hurt; sisters, Kathleen Weiss and Margaret Welte. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m., Monday, September 23, 2013, at St. Rupert’s Catholic Church, 1244 W Red Brush Rd., Newburgh, Ind., Father Lowell Will officiating and burial to follow in the church cemetery.
