Howard Eugene Nunn

Howard Eugene Nunn 94, of Evansville IN., passed away Thursday, May 9, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born in Model, Stewart County TN. on April 12, 1930, to the late Chester Boyd & Zanie Louellen (Outland) Nunn.  Howard will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

 He worked at Bernardin Bottle Cap Company in Evansville from 1948-1993 and also, Orthopedic Associates for 13 years.

 Howard is survived by his wife of 69 years, Barbara Jean (Davis) Nunn.  They have 5 children, the oldest son, Jesse Lee Mattingly passed away in 1972.    Jesse Lee is survived by his wife, Amy Mattingly.  sons, Dwight Mattingly wife Bonita, Boyd Nunn wife Cindy, Scott Nunn wife Vicki, and Gregory Nunn wife Latonya.

 He also has 12 grandchildren:  Angelic, Julie, Stephanie, Jennifer, Scott, Johnathan, Kyle, Mary Beth, Jessalea, Bryce, Joshua, and Christa, 21 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren, also very special friends, Jana Whitehead and John Evans.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Chester Boyd Nunn Jr., James Nunn, William Nunn, and sisters, Margaret Cook, Merlene Cherry, Ethelene McGarity, Charlene Zywyzak, Georgia (Polly) Outland and a daughter-in-law, Sherry Nunn.

 A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at the Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Meyer Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St., Evansville IN. 47711, (812)424-9288, with burial to follow in Hackelman Cemetery, Chrisney IN., following the cemetery

A celebration of life will be held at the American Legion Post #200

1021 E Main Street Boonville, IN.

Friends may visit with family from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 13, 2024, and also on Tuesday from 9 a.m. till time of service at the funeral home.
