Irene Helen Shoultz

Irene Helen (Gesselman) Shoultz, 94, of Newburgh, IN, passed away peacefully, Monday July 22, 2019 at Primrose Retirement Center in Newburgh.  She was born on April 16, 1925 in Warrick County to the late Herman and Margaret (Schmidt) Gesselman. 

She was an avid quilter with St. John's Quilters, participated in Fit over Fifty, and was a 14 year Breast Cancer Survivor.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Wilbur "Bud" Shoultz.  She is survived by sons, James Shoultz (Linda), Joe Shoultz (Melanie), Jon Shoultz (Paula); eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

A Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday July 24, 2019 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St.   Newburgh, IN (812) 853-8314.  Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to mass time at the funeral home.  Burial will be at a later date in Bates Hill Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Breast Cancer Research or St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
