James "Jim" A. Sorrels, 78, of Evansville, Ind., passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 at his home. He was born in Cromwell, KY on November 15, 1937 to Ethel and Henry Sorrels. He served in the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, James, Jr.; sister, Vonittia Conway. Jim is survived by his wife of 39 years, Carolyn S. (Wittenberg) Sorrels; kids, Michael Sorrels(Keisha), and Steven Sorrels (Connie), Michelle Harbison; brother, Henry Sorrels; sisters, Mourine Romans, and Anna Sorrels; grandsons, Nick, and Noah, Jaxon and Carter; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2016 with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Volkman Chapel, 2nd. & Elm Streets, Elberfeld, IN (812) 983-4211. Burial will be in Nobles Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made Fifth Third Bank James and Carolyn Sorrels account. Sympathy wishes may be made at www.titzerfuneralhomes.com.
