Jana Luane (Nance) Havener died Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital from complications of Covid-19 pneumonia.

Jana was born on August 17, 1946 in Evansville, Indiana.  She grew up in Chandler and Newburgh.  She graduated from Castle High School with the class of 1964.  On December 8, 1979, Jana married James Elbert Havener Jr. at Epworth United Methodist Church.  Attending night school she earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Evansville and a Master’s from Indiana State University in 1999.  After 30 years of dedication to Alcoa, Jana retired from the purchasing department in 2005.

Jana had many passions in her life, but none as precious as her love for family and friends.  She loved life!  She loved laughing, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren.   Reading and learning about health & wellness were very important to her.   Jana was a natural health care practitioner and co-owner of Paradise Products and Consulting, Inc.  She was a healer to many.  She loved her country.  Jana was a true patriot and spent many hours supporting it’s values and traditions.

She will be deeply missed by her husband of 42 years, Jim; son Timmons Paul (Sherry) Orf of Berlin, Maryland; stepson Ryan Scott Havener of Owensboro, Kentucky; grandchildren: Katlyn, Mitchel, Lexi, and Layla; and her Aunt Judy (Richard) Baker of Booneville, Indiana.

Following Jana’s wishes, services will not be held, so if you are so inclined please celebrate her life by having a glass of her favorite, muscadine wine or “just a sip” of whiskey.

Arrangements are in the care of Titzer Family Funeral Homes.
