Joan (Tracy) Evans, 59, of Evansville, IN, passed away Tuesday November 11, 2014 at Deaconess Hospital. She was the daughter of Ray and Annis Tracy. She graduated from Mason City High School and Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. She was employed by Vectren in Evansville. Joan was a caring compassionate woman. She loved animals and was a volunteer at the Evansville Animal Shelter. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. Joan has lived in several places and touched many people. Her beautiful spirit will be missed beyond words. May her essence live on through the people she has touched, those who love her and those she has loved. May she rest in everlasting peace. Joan is survived by husband, Jim; daughter, Maris Lewis (Joe) Horrom); step-sons, Shaun and Jeremy Evans; mother, Annis Tracy; siblings, Kay Zimmerman, Elaine Long, Tina Harrison, Bob and Steve Tracy; grandchildren, Aven and Mavla. She was preceded in death by her father, Ray and sister, Connie Dixon. Services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday November 15, 2014 at the Mason City Christian Church, Mason City, IL. Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Evansville, IN is assisting the family.
