John Gary Bunch, 69, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at VNA Charlier Hospice Center.He was born October 27, 1943 to Walter & Goldie (Wells) Bunch. He attended Newburgh High School, until joining the army. He served in the United States Army from 1960-1963. He worked at Alcoa for some thirty years. John was an avid horse racing fan, also enjoyed IU basketball and Indianapolis Colts football. He was predeceased by his parents, brother-in-laws, Larry Gilles, Carl Lantaff, Bill Hitch, Herbert Rohrscheib, Larry Jeffries and sister, Shirley Rohrscheib. Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Brenda, his daughter, Diana Ford, son, John W. Bunch, son, Gary (Chasity) Bunch; grandchildren, Michael, Leah Dicken (Jason), Marisa, Joshua & Cody; great-grandchildren, Gavin & Trevor; brother-in-laws, Richard Jeffries (Lucy), Frank Jeffries, brother, Ralph (Linda), brother, Tony (Martha), sister, Betty Hitch, brother, Paul (Carol), sister, Mary (Mike) Mason, sister, Martha Vanbibber, sister, Ruth Davis, brother, David (Kathey) Bunch, sister, Margaret (Mike) Hodges and also many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at the VNA Charlier Center for their excellent care and compassion. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Plus Charlier Hospice.Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday June 22, 2013 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~Simpson Chapel, 510 West Jennings Street, Newburgh, IN (812)853-8314, with Rev. David Kiegel officiating and burial following at Bates Hill Cemetery in Yankeetown.
