John "Johnny" Glover

John “Johnny” J. Glover, 81, of Buckskin, IN passed away IN passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022, at his residence. He was born on April 25, 1941, in Evansville, IN to John Glover and Margaret (Lanert) Fisher.

Johnny attended St. John the Baptist Catholic school and attended Memorial High School. He served the United States Army overseas in Germany during Vietnam. Johnny was a junk dealer, past Post Commander of Newburgh, Post#44 American Legion, and head of the Jaycees in Newburgh. Johnny had a passion for collecting vinyl records and many other things. One of his proudest accomplishments was working on a crew that removed and preserved the columns from the CE&I Railroad Depot that would become the Four Freedoms Monuments on the riverfront in downtown Evansville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, stepdad, Charles Fisher, sister, JoAnn Delong, and brother-in law, Ray Delong. John is survived by his brother, Tom (Pat) Fisher, brother, Gene Fisher, and several nieces and nephews.

Please come as you are to a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2022, with full Military Rites at the Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Volkman Chapel, 2nd & Elm St. Elberfeld, IN 47613, (812) 983-4211.

A visitation will be from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family asks no flowers to be sent. Donations may be made to the funeral home.

A benefit on Johnny’s behalf will be held at Troy Miller’s barn on July 23, 2022. All are invited.
