Leona M. Englehardt, 90, of Elberfeld, IN, passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 in Evansville. She was born September 12, 1928 in Elberfeld to the late Eli and Bertha (Libbert) Kohlmeyer. Leona was a long-standing member of the New Jerusalem United Methodist Church and her community. She was a cook at Elberfeld Elementary School retiring after 30 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford Englehardt; 2 sisters; and 2 brothers. Leona is survived by her children, Ronnie Englehardt (Lisa), Denny Englehardt (Sharon), Larry Englehardt (Sharon), Debbie Schwartz (Owen), Mark Englehardt (Patty), Barry Englehardt (Tracie), Ken Englehardt (Kim), Angie Simpson (Jeff); 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Warren Kohlmeyer (Linda) and Roger Kohlmeyer. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the New Jerusalem United Methodist Church, 125 1st St., Elberfeld. Rev. Lisa Resler will officiate and burial will follow in Northview Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m., Friday at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Volkman Chapel, 2nd & Elm Sts., Elberfeld, IN (812) 983-4211. And 9 a.m. to service time Saturday at the church.
