Leonard J. Miller, 79, of Newburgh, Ind., passed away Monday, October 07, 2013, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. He was born April 29, 1934, in Rockport, to Andrew M. and Rosalie L. (Weber) Miller. Leonard served in the United States Army. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Sons of the American Legion Kappermann Post #44, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #427. Leonard was a lifelong farmer in Warrick County. He loved being around his family, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Leo Miller, Andrew Miller and Richard Miller. Leonard is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara (Kron) Miller; children, Wayne Miller (Donna), Sandra Bender (Daniel), Dean Miller, and Louie Fuller; grandchildren, Kyle and Kayla Miller, Amanda, Abigail, Robyn, and Glenn Bender; great-granddaughter, Aubrey; brother, Mike Miller (Betty Lou); sister, Rita Shekell; sister-in-law, Charlotte Miller; numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, October 10, 2013, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd., Newburgh, Ind., burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, Ind., (812) 853-8314. Additional visitation will be 9 a.m. to Mass time Thursday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Sympathy wishes to the family may be made at www.titzerfuneralhomes.com
