Linnie R. (Martin) Shelton 96, of Haubstadt In., passed away December 9, 2022 at the Cypress Grove Nursing and Rehab. In Newburgh IN.

She was born November 29, 1926 in Webster County KY., to the late Logan & Stella (Ross) Martin Sr. 

Linnie was a retired Bookkeeper for the State of Indiana and was a member of New Jerusalem United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 1/2 years, David Leon Shelton Sr., two daughters, Jeanne Smith, Carol Smith, granddaughter, Georgia Simmons, siblings, Logan Martin Jr., Howard Martin, Sue Arflack.

Her survivors include 3 children, David Shelton (Karen) of Fairfax CA., Susan Simmons (Edward) of Corydon KY., Robert Earl Shelton of Evansville In., 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren.

A Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM. Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the New Jerusalem United Methodist Church, 125 S. First St., Elberfeld IN.47613 with Rev. Lisa Resler officiating, burial to follow in Northview Cemetery.

Visitation will from 9:30 AM. Till time of service at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the church or Vanderburgh Cty or Henderson Cty Humane Society.
