Louise Gertrude Lance

Louise Gertrude (Mills) Lance, 101, passed away Friday, July 8, 2016 at Holiday Retirement Village. She was born September 24, 1914 to Malinda (Gerbitz) and LeRoy Mills. She graduated from Bosse High School and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Evansville for many years. Louise worked as a custodian for EVSC. Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard Lance; her sons, LeRoy and Gary Lance; her granddaughter, Malinda Ford; her sister, Helen Mills Cook; her niece and caregiver, Linda Hendricks. She is survived by nephews, Larry Jones (Dee), Robert Jones (Sandy), and Donald Jones (Beverly). The family would like to thank Holiday Village for the wonderful care that Louise received while living there. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Evansville Association for the Blind. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St. Evansville, IN (812)424-9274.
