Marciana B. “Lola” Asuncion, 97, of Newburgh, passed away Friday January 10, 2014 at Transcendent Healthcare South in Boonville. She was born April 13, 1916 in Batac, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. She was a Catholic and was a member of the Philippines Public Teacher Association and taught for more than 40 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maria (Duldulao) and Justo Bagaoisan; husband, Mansueto; and grandson, Perry. She is survived by daughter, Leyte Asuncion, MD (Roger Saldana); son, Plaridel Asuncion, Sr. (Susan Alejandrino), son, Romeo Asuncion (Amanda Quintos); six grandchildren, Roley and Christie Saldana, Plaridel Asuncion, Jr. (Apollo), Anne, Ryan, and Abigail Asuncion; five great-grandchildren, Evan Mark, Sydney Claire, Ira, Ivan, and Gian; one sister.Visitation will be held from 2 pm. to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m.Wednesday January 15, 2014 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 W.
