Marian Elizabeth Johnson

Marian Elizabeth Johnson, 96, of Newburgh, IN, passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2024. She was born on October 11, 1928, in Mattoon, Illinois, to Glen and Florence (Arnold) Johnson.

Marian lived in Kinmundy, IL from 8th grade through high school, until she graduated in 1950 from SIU with a bachelor’s degree in science and education. Marion retired on March 1st, 1994, after working at Whirlpool for 42 years. She enjoyed golf, bowling, crafts, and doing volunteer sewing for quilters of American Legion Auxiliary, Newburgh, IN. 

Marian is survived by her sister-in-law, Sharon Johnson; niece, Donna Richards (Chuck); great niece, Kelly Richards; and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Glen Jr. and John Johnson; niece, Susan Johnson.

A private burial will take place at a later date at Sandy Branch Cemetery, in Kinmundy, IL.
