Mary Agnes McMillen, 86, of Newburgh, Ind., passed away at 5:25 a.m., Sunday July 2, 2017 at Newburgh Health Care. 

She was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on October 13, 1930 to Albert Joseph Kaelin, Sr. and Veronica (Krampe) Kaelin.  She married Robert B. McMillen, Jr. on June 20, 1953 in Holy Cross Catholic Church in Louisville, Kentucky.

She graduated from St. Joseph High School in Owensboro and in 1952 graduated from St. Mary and Elizabeth School of Nursing in Louisville.  She spent her career compassionately caring for the community, having worked as a surgical scrub at St. Vincent, formerly St. Mary's, for 35 years.

Mary Agnes is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert B. McMillen, Jr.; one son, Michael McMillen; grandchildren, Christina Fountain, Stephanie McMillen, Stephen McMillen, Damien Sisson, Christopher Chumley, Kanoko Matsuhoto; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Bernadine Persohn, Aurea Ann Schnell (Stan), Paul Kaelin (Juanita), and Anthony Kaelin (Angela).

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Susan Marie Sisson; one granddaughter, Hope Chumley; two brothers, AJ Kaelin, Jr. and Edward Kaelin; one sister, Catherine Rose Kaelin.

Mary Agnes was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.  She was  member of the Cursillo and Brute Society.

A Mass of  Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 8, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd., Newburgh, Ind.  Burial will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St, Newburgh.  (812) 853-8314.  Visitation Saturday 9 a.m. to mass time at the church.
