Mary Ann Holmes, 84, of Newburgh IN went to her Heavenly home, surrounded by her loving family, at her home on Thursday, June 12th, 2025.
Mary Ann was born in Evansville IN on November 9th, 1940, to her parents Eugene and Rosaline (Hormuth) Myers. She went to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Elementary School. After graduating from Newburgh High School, Mary Ann not only joined the US Coast Guard Auxiliary, but also met the love of her life, Bobby Holmes, and made a home and family with him. Together, they absolutely loved traveling and seeing the country. Mary Ann and Bobby owned vacation spots in Eddyville KY, Rio Hondo TX and in Florida – they loved fishing and spending time together. One of their greatest traditions was shark fishing in Florida and then hosting an annual fish fry for friends and family on the second Sunday every October. Mary Ann was also very proud of becoming a Kentucky Colonial in 1975.
Mary Ann will be remembered as a sweet, caring, and incredible lady. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Rosaline (Hormuth) Myers, and her brother, Raymond Myers and a son-in-law, Randall Suthard.
