Mary Jane (Williams) Carrico,79, Loogootee, IN. peacefully passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at her daughter’s home. She was born July 28, 1941 in Loogootee, IN, to the late Vincent James and Dorothy Anne (Ryan) Williams.

Jane graduated from St. John Catholic School in 1959 and married SFC James Lyman Carrico Jr., U.S. Army Retired, on February 14, 1961. She worked for the Civil Service department at DRMO in Crane, Indiana over 22 years before retiring. She was a woman of strong faith.  She attended St. John Catholic Church in Loogootee where she was a former member of the K of C Auxiliary, Parish Council and Building Committee, Lector and Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed reading and embroidery.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jacqueline Ice (Kent) of Anderson and Melissa “Lisa” Titzer (Todd) of  Newburgh; grandchildren, Randy Steiner (April), Nicole Titzer, James Titzer, and Jeffrey Ice; great grandchildren Elaina, Jordyn, Jacob, Avery, Jack and William; sister Ruth A. Fegan (Roland); brother Thomas J. Williams (Carla); sister, Sheila S. Smelser (Bill); sister Barbara J. Lorey (Les); sister Melissa M. Williams (Gayle); brother John A. Williams (Dana) and sister-in-law Donna Williams.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, James L."Turk" Carrico, Jr. and her brother, Vincent" Jim" Williams, Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church 408 Church St. Loogootee, IN 47553 with Very Rev., Father, J. Kenneth Walker presiding and burial to follow at ­­­­­­­­­­St. John's Cemetery with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. at the church.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the church.

In accordance with the Indiana COVID-19 precautions, all attending are required to wear a mask and follow proper social distancing protocol.  If you are not feeling well, or if you have compromised immune system, you are encouraged to stay home.
