Mary "Kate" Williams, 90, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at her home. She was born June 22, 1925 in Freedom, Ind., to Merlin and Ora (Nelson) Helderman. Kate was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was known as "Gran" to everyone that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and two sisters. Kate is survived by her husband of 69 years, Wallace "Wally" Williams; children, Deanna Heckman (John), Dennie Williams (Beth); five grandchildren, Trent Heckman (Dina), Courtney Biehl (Ted), Corby Heckman (Jessica), Natalie Oxley (Tony), Zach Williams; five great-grandchildren, Ryne, Rece, Rhet, Cohen Heckman, Ella Oxley; sister, Pat Batton; and sisters-in-law, Janice Skeel, Leota Fulk (Jim). Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m.(CST), Friday, March 11, 2016 at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, Ind., (812) 853-8314. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m.(EST), with visitation beginning at 12 p.m., Saturday, March 12, 2016 at West & Parrish & Pedigo Funeral Home, 105 N. Montgomery St., Spencer, Ind.
