Mary Madeline Cassidy
Mary Madeline Cassidy, 85, of Evansville,
passed away Saturday, December 1, 2007
at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born
on February 9, 1922 in Leopold, Indiana to
Charles A. and Edith Elizabeth (Watson)
Hagman. She graduated from Tell City High
School in 1941. Mary was a CNA and
worked at the State Hospital for 35 years
and Need A Nurse for several years. She
liked country and western music and loved
to shop. Mary loved her family and friends.
She attended Nativity Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents;
her husband Chester K. Cassidy in 1983; a
brother, Charles Hagman, Jr. in 2005; and a
great-granddaughter, Caroline Cassidy in
2006.
Mary is survived by two sons, Donald Ray
and Richard A. Cassidy, Sr. both of
Evansville; seven grandchildren, Dr. Scott
Cassidy of Alabama, Kevin, Todd, and
Mark Cassidy of Virginia, Susan Lewis of
Florida, Richard Cassidy, Jr. of Evansville,
and Tracie Powell of Kentucky; seventeen
great-grandchildren; and a niece and her
husband, Judy K. and Jon Carter of
Evansville.
Services will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday,
December 7, 2007 at Titzer Family Funeral
Homes ~ Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel
100 E. Columbia St. Evansville, continuing
with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at
Nativity Catholic Church 3635 Pollack Ave.
Evansville. Reverend Henry L. Kuykendall
will officiate. Burial will be in Park Lawn
Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on
Thursday, December 6, 2007 and on Friday
9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Titzer Family Funeral
Home ~ Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel.
There will be a memorial service at 4 p.m.
on Thursday at the funeral home.
