Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., Monday at our Simpson Chapel & 9 a.m. to Mass time Tuesday at the church

Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church

Mary R. (Goelzhauser) Jacobs, 87, of Newburgh, IN, passed away Friday, September 7, 2018 peacefully at her home.

She was born July 28, 1931 to the late Clem and Ludwina (Goldbach) Goelzhauser.  She was preceded in death by her sisters, Anna Summers and Betty Cherry; and her son-in-law, Randy Williams.

Mary graduated from Memorial High School.  She was a member of St. John Parish in Newburgh.  She loved spending time with her family.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Kenneth Jacobs; children, Karen Doss (Rick), Diane Williams, Kathy Mosley (John), Ed Jacobs (Julie), Mary Ward (Darrin), John Jacobs (Angela); 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and her brother, Jim Goelzhauser (Carole).

The family would like to thank the staff at Bell Oaks Assisted Living for their exceptional care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd., Newburgh, IN.  Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. 

Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., Monday at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, IN (812) 853-8314.  And 9 a.m. to Mass time Tuesday at the church.
