Mary Ruth Susott, 87of  Elberfeld, IN passed away Friday, April 24, 2020 at Good Samaritan Home in Evansville.  She was born March 3, 1933 to Edwin and Ruth (Wheaton) Young.  She was a member of New Jerusalem UMC and the organist there for over 60 years, a member of Zion UCC and organist for over 30 years and an organist for Titzer (Volkman) funeral homes in Elberfeld, IN.  She also gave piano lessons and worked in bookkeeping at Deaconess Hospital.  She loved sewing, reading mystery novels and listening to music.  Some of her favorite hymns were "Great is Thy Faithfulness", "In the Garden", "Softly and Tenderly", "Be Still My Soul" and "I'll Fly Away".

Mary is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Ann Sitzman (Mark) of Evansville; son, Daniel C. Susott (Cindy) of Evansville; granddaughter, Rachel White of Evansville; sister-in-law, Sandy Young; nephews, Bobby and Roger Young; niece, Darla Perigo.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Glen W. Susott.  Our heartfelt thanks to Good Samaritan Home staff for taking such good care of mom these last five months.  Under the current circumstances, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date by Titzer Family Funeral Homes~ Volkman Chapel, Elberfeld, IN.  Memorial contributions may be made to Vanderburgh Humane Society, New Jerusalem UMC or Easterseals Rehabilitation Center.  Condolences may be made @www.titzerfuneralhomes.com.
