Maryetta (Golding) Yancey, 85, of Newburgh, passed away, Sunday, August 5, 2012, at home. She was born April 10, 1927, in Evansville, to John and Sophie (Seib) Golding. She attended St. Ben's grade school and graduated from Memorial High School. Maryetta is a long time member of St. Johns the Baptist Catholic Church where she was involved with the school PTA, the Ladies Guild, Eucharistic ministers, and the mature adults. She also was a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital and the Regina Home. She enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, reading, gardening and square dancing. Maryetta is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack Golding; and a grandson, Robert Cranick. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bobby Yancey; children, John Michael Yancey, Sr. (Barb), Alan Roscoe Yancey Sr. (Deborah), Cathy Cranick (Ron Sr.), Janet Jenkins (Jack), Betty Turner, Jesse Yancey (Pam), Amy Teare (Shane); grandchildren, John Yancey Jr., Alan Yancey Jr., Jennifer Thornburgh (Jason), Ron Cranick Jr. (Terra), Adam Cranick (Delicia), Elizabeth (Katie) Cranick, Brian Jenkins (Kari), Kevin Jenkins (Mallory), Todd Turner, Abby Turner, Jarrett Yancey, Aubrey Yancey, Kathleen Teare; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great great- grandchild; sisters, Shirley Keller, Donna Gilmore; in-laws, Donald Yancey and Emma Perkins. The family wishes to thank Southern Care Hospice and especially Luann Simpson for her care and comfort. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Rd, Newburgh, Indiana, entombment will follow in the church mausoleum. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, with a Memorial Service at 7 p.m., at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W Jennings St., Newburgh, Indiana (812) 853-8314.
