Mina Lee Fridy, 93 of Newburgh, IN, passed away on July 18, 2025, at OSF Hospital in Peoria, IL. She had broken her hip and died from complications of that surgery. She was surrounded by her kids and daughter-in-law.

Mom was born in Newburgh on July 31, 1931, to her parents Helen and Willis Brack. After graduating from Newburgh High School, she attended Evansville College (UE).

She married Paul Edward Fridy and started a family with him while he was in the Navy.

She worked after college until Deb and David were born, then she was a stay-at-home Mom. She want back to work part-time at Sears Credit Dept in Evansville. When the kids got older, she went to full-time. She left Sears when her and Dad bought a service station in Chandler and she worked there with Dad and David. After Dad passed, she and David continued to run the service station until it was finally sold.

Her faith was very important to her still today. She had been a member of Newburgh United Methodist Church, while living in Newburgh. She attended church each Sunday at Boman Estates were she had been living since Februray 1, 2022. She liked living at Bowman and had lots of friends and participated in the activities there. She had one special friend there – Kathy Chowning – her partner in crime.

Mom was a kind person that everyone liked. She was easy to get along with and we will all miss her SO much!!!

Mom was preceded in death by Dad. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Fridy of Danville, IL; a son David (Linda) Fridy of Newburgh, IN, and her grandson, Chris (Sunshine) Fridy of Bedford, IN. She also has three special nieces surviving.

A Funeral Service will be held in Mom’s honor on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Titzer Family Funeral Homes Simpson Chapel 510 W Jennings St Newburgh IN, and will be immediately followed by burial at Rose Hill Cemetery in Newburgh, IN. A visitation will also be held, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m., also at Titzer Family Funeral Homes Simpson Chapel.
