Nancy Jane Tenbarge, born June 21, 1946, was called home August 17, 2019.  She took with her so very, very many memories!  Nancy is survived by sisters-in-law, Bonnie Tenbarge and Henrietta Tenbarge of Evansville; cousin, Rick Hobbs of Corpus Christi, TX; and a host of loving nieces and nephews.  She's preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Eleanor (Glenn) Tenbarge; brothers, Brad, Harry, and Stanley Tenbarge; and great-niece, Allison Tenbarge.

Nancy attended St. Joseph Grade School, then graduated from Reitz Mundi High School in 1964.  For 30 years she served as a staff LPN at Welborn Hospital in the OB unit, where she gladly welcomed many new lives.

With great fortune, Nancy learned at an early age that the best things in life aren't things.  She was an avid baseball fan.  She took many trips to Ohio to see her favorite, the Cincinnati Reds.  Those "mini-vacations" also included visits to Kings Island.  It was her joy to watch her most joyful gifts from God, her nieces and nephews and later great-nieces and nephews, having fun.  No one in the family has ever done a better Donald Duck impression.

As with all Tenbarges, Nancy's love of family filled her days.  In later years she was the primary caregiver for her mother.  She was a mainstay at the table on Sundays and claimed a cheerful spot at the Christmas Eve present-opening.  She is well-remembered for her laughter and wit.  After her turn to kneel at the foot of God's throne, she will be singing with the saints and waiting to see you all again.

Services for Nancy will be held at 1 p.m., on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 600 E. Virginia St. Evansville, IN 47711 with visitation beginning at 12 noon.  Rev. Fr. Eugene A. Schroeder will officiate.  Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday at Titzer Family Funeral Homes ~ Miller & Miller Colonial Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St. Evansville, IN 47711. (812) 424-9274.
